Meet Grace Lee

Submitted by Jean Noel
Ms. Grace Etsuko Lee, author, speaker, trainer, international business woman, and president/founder of Grace Lee International, spent the first 14 years of her life in Japan. Her mother, from a very influential family in Japan and her father, an Ivy League educated diplomat, made sure she was well trained in both Japanese and Western social graces.

Her 20 years experience in domestic and international business and her bi-cultural upbringing, gives her a unique view of multicultural relationships.

She teaches Western social graces with an Asian influence, treating social graces and etiquette the same as learning any fine art. Her unique introduction of Western etiquette through comparison to Asian and other cultures help students to understand the boundaries of their own and add another dimension to their development.

Through her Japanese grandmother, mother, and other mentors, Ms. Lee was taught the importance of nurturing and sharing with all our children all that we learned so that they can grow wiser and more confident.

“Americans are unique in the sense that they can pick the
strengths and positive benefits from other cultures and incorporate them into their own society. This combining brings the best social graces from every culture to become the powerful American culture of the future.”

Ms Lee says. “We are all always learning, I am always a student as well as a teacher. Confidence and inner peace comes from knowledge, not through ignorance.”
